WHAT IS RHODONITE? Rhodonite is a pink or red tabular crystal or mass of crystals, named after the Greek word for rose because of it's pink color. Rhodonite is a combination of manganese, calcium silicate and iron and has a mottled appearance that is often flecked with black inclusions of manganese. It can also be yellow, green, or black.
WHERE IT'S FOUND? Rhodonite was first discovered in Russia in the Ural Mountains in the 1790s. Also found in Australia, Cornwall, Brazil, Germany, Madagascar, Mexico, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, and the U.S.A.
